Post Chaplain:

Bill Kimbrough is a U. S. Air Force Veteran having served during the Vietnam War. He served on active duty from 1960 until 1964 and in the Reserves from 1964 until 1966. He obtained the rank of Airman First Class.

During the years of 1960 and 1962 he was assigned to the 858th Aircraft Control & Warning Squadron at the U. S. Naval Auxiliary Air Station in Fallon, Nevada. From 1962 to 1964 he served in the 482nd Flight Interceptor Squadron at Seymour Johnson Air Force Base in Goldsboro, N. C. During his reserve duty from 1964 until 1966 he held Reserve Status Class 1-A, Board No. 75 in Pitt County, Greenville, N. C. He has been a member of Franklinton Post 52 of the American Legion since 2004 and has had continuous service since that time. During that time he has served continuously as Post Chaplain since 2005.

Also he has served on the Executive Committee since 2005 and on the Stand Up For America for the Fourth of July celebration as a team leader since 2007. Kimbrough was named Legionnaire of the Year in 2008.
